SEB's division Large Corporates and Financial Institutions (LC&FI) offers talented students an exciting opportunity to work with banking and finance for a few intense summer months. If you have the ambition, we will support you in growing your potential at SEB this summer!
The internship in short
Your internship starts off with an introduction to SEB and ends with a presentation of your experience to managers, colleagues and other summer interns. As an intern, you will be involved in our daily business activities and have a great opportunity to explore the environment of global trading and commercial banking. You will be guided by at least one tutor during your internship. For more details www.sebgroup.com/career/graduates-and-students/summer-internship
What you will do
Market Accounts & Tax Services is responsible for managing all local custody accounts held with our sub-custodians, covering over 90 different markets worldwide. Constant changes in our business environment along with new regulations demand a very close cooperation internally, both within our own business unit but also with other business units in the bank.
As a summer intern you will have close client interaction and daily contacts with our sub-contractors (local banks). You will be responsible for supporting our clients in setting up their local custody accounts in new markets for investment purposes. Our team also handles our clients' tax setups for the same markets.
Who are you?
As a summer intern with us you need to have an open mind for new challenges and an eye for details. We believe that you are able to easily obtain knowledge about our client base, markets, legal requirements and the related products in a short timeframe and put it into context. You are motivated by the everyday challenges and solving problems both on your own and in a team. Although details are of high importance, you need to have the ability to see the full picture and prioritize between these two components. You also need to be well-structured in your way of working. An interest in the Securities markets is meriting.
You are fluent in both spoken and written English and Swedish and you have at least one year left of university studies in Finance or Economics after finishing this internship.
