ASSA ABLOY AB is hiring a Senior Group Accountant, to be based at the head office in central Stockholm, Sweden. As Senior Group Accountant you will be part of ASSA ABLOY Group Accounting, a team of four employees responsible for preparing the ASSA ABLOY Group's financial consolidated statements as well as supporting the divisions and subsidiaries in accounting matters. The Group consists of around
400 legal entities in over 70 countries.
You will play a key-role in the corporate month-end closings working with reconciliations and analysis of reported subsidiary figures. In addition, you will work on issuing and updating accounting policies as well as ensuring a correct application of ASSA ABLOY's accounting policies and compliance with IFRS. You will also be involved in projects linked to streamlining workflow as well as integrating corporate acquisitions.
· This role is full time and you report to Head of Group Accounting.
· Main tasks and responsibilities
· Consolidation of monthly financial closings
· Analysis and follow-up on reported numbers
· Ensure correct application of accounting policies and compliance with IFRS
· Support divisions and subsidiaries in reporting and accounting issues
· Preparation of the Annual report and interim reports
· Take a leading role in finance and accounting related projects
What are we looking for
You have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. You have at least 5 years of work experience as an auditor from the Big4 or a couple of years of operational experience from a group accounting role.
We believe you have prior knowledge of IFRS and/or experience from reporting and consolidation in a larger company. Knowledge of accounting for business combinations is highly valued and experience of our group reporting and consolidation system HFM is an advantage.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as our official Group language is English and international contacts occurs on a daily basis.
