As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be a key member of a team responsible for architecting, deploying and supporting cloud-based solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for exciting initiatives paving the way for public cloud adoption. It will be your responsibility to help our team build scalable, highly available, reliable, secure deployments on Google cloud platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure infrastructure for our retail customers.
As a cloud architect you'll work with leading cutting-edge technology and global brands. We'll expect you to:
Leading cultural change for cloud adoption
Developing and coordinating cloud architecture
Developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation process
Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, secure, and fault tolerant systems on GCP, Azure and AWS for our customers
Evaluating and improving existing clouddeployments
Handling responses to customers for escalated support
Identifying appropriate use of cloud deployment and operational best practices
Estimating cloud usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
Migrating existing on-premises applications to cloud
Mentoring junior members of the team
Coordinating efforts across the support organization
Working closely with the product team to develop and launch new features
Interfacing with customers to understand their pain points
Customer-focused, hands-on technical expert with the ability to consult with leadership
Experience with private and public cloud platforms and providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure
Technical skills in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Services, .NET framework/core, as well as CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Concourse or others
Experience and knowledge of domain-driven design, microservices architecture and Agile development
Experience with Ruby/Rails, Go, messaging (RabbitMQ/AMQP, JMS), RDBMS, Redis and open-source contributor
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and environments while being able to see and present the "big picture"
Hands-on, technical subject matter expert with the propose, present and influence architectural design ideas to executives and technical management and work with customers' developers, architects and technical management
Implements Cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Supports customers in integrating Cloud with their existing logging and monitoring solutions
Helps customers create or integrate with existing CI/CD pipeline
Manages existing Cloud installations and helps scale them for production environment
Helps customers choose the right applications for cloud conversion.
Supports customers in creating a platform/application-level scaffolding for migrating multiple applications to cloud
Assists customers with migrating legacy applications to cloud
Pairs with customers' architects/developers to impart the skills needed to be successful in their long-term digital transformation efforts
Enables customers to build a new class of digital applications as they transform their business
