We are now looking for a Senior Category Manager for Milk Based Beverages (MBB) who will be based at our Swedish Head office in Stockholm/Solna. Brand responsibility includes the Swedish loved brands that is related to the milk portfolio.
Arla Foods is an international cooperative based in Denmark, and the largest producer of dairy products in Scandinavia. Arla Foods is the fourth largest dairy company in the world measured by milk intake, and the seventh largest by turnover. We are also the world's largest organic dairy producer.
After a number of years driving added value through our milk and building the Arla brand via a number of key categories and channels, our strategy for 2026 focusses on enhancing our business based on driving sustainability, focussing on our strongholds and leveraging the scale of the Arla brand via a centralised Eurozone team and execution in the markets.
Milk Based Beverages (MBB) is one of our Growth Areas in the Future '26 strategy with leading global (e.g. Starbucks) and local brands (Pucko, Yalla).
The role also covers category leadership for our growing Small Meals portfolio targeting convenience consumption occasions.About the job
As Senior Category Manager MBB, you will be part of the Marketing Organization reporting to the Head of Marketing in Sweden. You will own the end-to-end development and delivery of the MBB category strategies in the market to deliver growth for Arla (and our customers). The ownership also includes the delivery of the P&L. Besides this, your areas of responsibility include:
Who are you
- Accountable for the development and execution of Local brands
- Responsible for the successful execution of global brand plans
- Category responsibility also includes category management, product management and minor innovation projects
- Be the point of contact for Sales for the category strategy
- Drive Arla's Future26 global strategy by amplifying the key strategic changes on Sustainability
- Drive the stronghold agendas whilst being cognisant of and interconnecting the activities derived from the Arla Brand team
- Accountability for the local MBB marketing budgets within scope and align with interface on Arla Brand
- Lead team and drive the performance of local marketeers on the category and wider agenda
You have significant experience and expertise in a similar role in a matrixed cross market organization. You probably hold a Master's degree or a post graduate professional certificate in a relevant discipline. As a leader, you have a strong track record creating, leading and driving dynamic, senior teams.
You are up to date on your digital capabilities leading insight in digital marketing innovation and trends – the also goes for your sustainability knowledge and engagement.
You have a passion for winning and get energy from taking on challenges and turning them into opportunities.
The role has a strong link to the global organization. You therefore need to be a great influencer and communicator navigating around stakeholders on different levels to drive the category. Your business acumen in combination with creativity and energy makes us believe that you can both operate independently and in symbiosis with the organization.
