AW Group Marketing is looking for a substitute Media Planner to join the Digital Marketing team!

As Media Planner, you have an important role in planning, evaluating and developing the media strategy for all companies within AW Group to ensure growth and that we reach our target groups at the right time and place. You will be a part of the Digital Marketing team at AW Group Marketing and report to Head of Digital Marketing, but you will also be working closely with colleagues across Group Marketing to support the execution of campaigns through media planning and purchasing, especially with our internal team of Digital Campaign Specialists. You're also responsible for developing and managing co-operations with media partners such as media agencies, job boards etc. To succeed in this role, we believe that you are solutions-oriented, can work both individually as well as in a team and approach challenges with commitment and a sense of responsibility.

This position is a temporary substitute of approximately one year, starting in September.


Evaluate and develop our channel strategy for different brands, campaigns, objectives and target groups

Negotiate agreements with media suppliers

Oversee and evaluate our job boards purchases

Be the main point of contact for marketing opportunities outside of our core in-house channels

Manage communication and co-operation with different media partners or agencies

Provide media insights and expertise to support Digital Campaign Specialists

Monitoring media trends to actively bring suggestions on how to find new and effective ways of reaching our target audience

Take part in campaign planning and execution, focusing on media mix and purchasing

Relevant academic or post-secondary education within marketing, economics or similar

3+ years of experience in media buying, media strategy and/or marketing strategy

Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

Are used to working with larger budgets

Hands-on experience working with larger marketing campaigns


Experience in procuring and conducting collaborations with media agencies

A background in media agencies and internal marketing teams

Experience in negotiating larger agreements

Experience from working in international companies and with several different brands

Start:26 September

Contract:Full-time, temporary substitute until mid-September 2023

Location: The AW Group Marketing departments main office is situated in Stockholm, but our co-workers are located in all our countries. In this position, you can work from any of our operative offices in Sweden.

Process:The first step in the recruitment process is to complete two tests by Assessio, one is a personality mapping and the other is a cognitive ability test. The reason why we use tests is to ensure a solid and fair recruitment process focusing on potential for the position we are hiring for rather than your CV. The next step is interviews, reference checking and finally a case.

Please note that the last step of the interview phase will not be held until mid-August due to vacations.
