Right now, we are looking for a new Head of Risk Control that wants to be part of our growing and dynamic finance company, Telia Finance AB!

Telia Finance is a credit market company under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

As Head of Risk Control, you will lead the Risk Control Function (RCF), consisting of a Risk Control Officer and yourself. The RCF is an internal control function reporting directly to the Board and the CEO of Telia Finance. You will play an important role in ensuring that risks within the company area are known, assessed, managed, and controlled properly. You will work in close collaboration with all units within Telia Finance and the local Telia operators. Your abilities to cooperate, involve and communicate are therefore of highest importance.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

Promote a sound management of risks by:

• Assisting in identifying them,

• Proposing mitigating actions to minimize or eliminate them and

• Following-up and reporting them

Promote a sound risk culture by:

• Providing advice and support to employees, the CEO and the Board,

• Informing and educating employees about risks and risk management and

• Following-up and reporting on deficiencies and violations of the risks

We are now looking for an experienced risk control professional to dare, care and simplify risk matters within our business. You have a strong team spirit but are ready to work independently. You are inspired by working in an intense and constantly transforming business environment.

We need you to have a solid experience from the risk control area within the financial industry. Maybe you are a senior risk officer that is ready for the next step or you are working as Head of Risk Control already. Preferably, you have experience from a Nordic perspective since we are operating in all Nordic countries. As a person you have high integrity and have a strong delivery capability both when you work alone as well as in teams. It is important that you are business and customer oriented and always take that in consideration within the risk control area. And most of all, we are looking for an individual that will enjoy working with us!

Your personal competencies:

• Are independent and possessing high integrity with strong people skills and educational vein to gain the trust from all stakeholders, internal as well as external

• Are driven, creative, strategic, accountable, efficient, and decisive

• Are stress resistant and used to deliver under pressure without losing in quality and also handling several matters in parallel

• Have a mature and persuasive communication style, credible to explain complex issues to the employees and other stakeholders

Your Experience:

• Broad experience in risk areas required/relevant for a regulated financial company

• Academic degree in a relevant field, e.g. Law

• Around 7-10 years of experience working in a senior risk control position in the regulated financial services industry

• Proven track record of driving change, effectively communicating, training, influencing, and engaging at all levels across an organization

• Fluent in English and Swedish (written and oral) other Nordic language skills is a plus

• Manager experience is a plus
