RAN Engineer

You will be part of the RAN team that provides 2nd and 3rd level support towards our customers and the interfaces and stakeholders we co-operate with. The team consists of highly skilled Engineers who works to improve our customers experience in our networks.

I’m Anders Larsson and I’m leading the RAN Operation & Ericsson Change team within our Radio Access Network department. We are a great bunch of people, and I’m proud of every member of our team.

As part of being the edge competence within the RAN area, training and educating others is also part of our responsibilities. We work in a constantly changing environment with new technologies and challenges. This also includes dialogues with different vendors and stakeholders.

Is this you?

We offer an interesting position where you will become one of the experts working with the constantly changing environment in the RAN area. Since new features and functions constantly arrive, you will occasionally attend external or internal training courses. Also participate during evaluation processes for i.e., new services, features or technologies/platforms.

You will work with dedicated and experienced colleagues and have a wide responsibility that spans over many different environments and services.

Your experience:

• You have a university degree in a relevant technical area.
• You understand the Radio Access Network (RAN) area with Ericsson as a vendor of base stations (BTS), including Transmission technologies.
• Preferably you have experience of working with node configuration in ENM (Ericsson Network Manager).
• Working with different kind of scripting technologies (Amos, Linux, Python etc.)
• Understanding of 2G/BSC and/or 3G/RNC is good but not mandatory.
• Preferably you have an understanding in how to work with RAN quality KPIs such as MCDR, Accessibility, Retainability and MDS.
• Preferably you understand IP (TCP/IP) to troubleshoot and understand the transport network.
• Preferably have experience with automation in networks and/or IT domain.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
