
IP Network Engineer
I am Saku Kässi, and I am leading the IP Connectivity team. We are a bunch of great people looking for an DevOps minded IP Network Engineer to join our team in Stockholm or Oslo. We work with both network development, planning, deployment, but also with Operations and maintenance. We are responsible for the traditional mobile IP connectivity domain in all Telia countries.

Telia is doing this in partnership with Ericsson and our now searching for more talents that wants to work with the newest technologies such as network slicing and positioning, all in close collaboration with our industrial customers. In the journey of helping industrial companies reinvent better connected business by accelerating the adoption of 5G, Telia will also learn and build an even stronger position as the leading operator in the Nordic Baltic region.

You will be part of an international organization working agile, and in the forefront of mobile IP connectivity. You will mainly contribute to the IP connectivity for a brand new 5G Enterprise Innovation Hub, where large enterprises can try out new advanced use cases and functionality, before they are even introduced in our mobile networks.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Participate in network architecture and roadmap work
- Participate in CPS deliveries following SAFE principles
- Create connectivity designs for services connected to native IP Transport
- Provide relevant configurations, instructions, and trainings to other units
- Integrate new platforms in the network from start to finish
- Deploy and Operate and Maintain mobile specific IP networks (Native)
- Collaborate with colleagues to solve complex issues
- Work actively to prevent faults
- Follow up of performance and network quality
- Be part of the on-call duty

You always keep customers in focus, so that the view from the customer’s perspective controls your initiatives and priorities. Your personal competencies:
- Capability to work in teams as well as independently
- Quick to act and have ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Eager to learn and develop yourself further
- Positive and service minded
Your qualifications and experience:
- Skilled within the IP core and/or service areas (IPv4 and v6, BGP, QoS, ISIS, MPLS, LDP, Segment-Routing)
- Experience with multi-vendor routed and switched networks
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches
- Some familiarity with other vendors like Nokia and Juniper routers
- Some experience with network automation like NSO, Ansible, Python or at least a network automation mindset.
- CCIE or at least CCNP certified ideally in Service Provider track or Routing & Switching / Enterprise. Relevant knowledge/experience is also a qualifier.
- University degree in relevant field or similar knowledge/experience.
- Understanding Mobile technologies
- Fluent English in both spoken and written.
