Head of Internal Communications

We are currently looking for Head of Internal Communications. This role will work under People and Culture unit, as Head of Internal Communication for Telia Products and Services (CPS). Our unit has roughly 4.000 employees across 6 countries and mainly consists of technology heavy people: developers, product owners, architects, etc. We are the innovation and technology hub of Telia.

Head of Internal Communications has two major roles:

• High quality information and knowledge dissemination throughout our Products and Services unit. Tell our people about our priorities, our principles, ways of working, products, successes in an effective way using the right channels, the right content for the right audience.
• Awareness Creation throughout Telia organization about our unit's ways of working, priorities, successes to increase collaboration across units.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Formulate and execute an internal communication strategy through right content, channel, and target audience.
• Help us create the high-quality content through innovative and tech savvy ways. A short on-the-go TikTok style video for a reminder, and a long podcast for a thoughtful conversation, etc.
• Create channels that will reach the right audience in the right way, maximizing the adoption. Not everything can be solved with a SharePoint site.

Below skills and competencies will help you succeed:

• Have solid experience in internal communication and have used novel channels and content to reach a large multi country audience before.
• Be curious and tech savvy. A fast learner. Our products and structure might be perceived as slightly complex. Learning our ways of working will take time and effort.
• Have common sense with a strong English language skill. We need exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Have a sense of what "interesting" looks like for the target audience. A high empathy and curiosity to understand our people, our reality.
• Strong understanding of technology and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Have a strong sense of execution and project management. We will work with deadlines, they are not tough deadlines, but they are deadlines.
• A creative mind that captures what is essential and finds a way to tell that message to large audiences.
• A collaborative and nice personality, because we want to work with nice and collaborative people.
