Academic Work is looking for three part- time Customer Support Engineers to our client Telia Carrier. At Telia, you will join a welcoming working environment that is constantly evolving. As a Customer Support Engineer you will be part of improving TC's way of working as you raise various issues. The department (WCSC) works with continuous improvements and therefore it is important to find change appealing and intriguing!

Customer Support Center (CSC) is TCs single point of contact regarding service faults, delivery, billing and sales inquiries from customers such as operators, service and content providers as well as other large-scale users world-wide. They own- and drive customer issues to resolution while keeping an open channel of communication with customers during on-going cases. CSC is a technical customer support unit with strong business acumen and customer focus. They deliver a world-class customer experience to build business trust and reliability with our customers. Employees are scheduled on a rolling basis for shift work covering 24/7/365. Single shifts and on-call duty can occur.

This job is a staffing position, which means that you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Telia Carrier.

Arbetsuppgifter

As a Customer Service Engineer you will be working part time, but it is important that you can work approximately 60% during the semester and then preferably 100% during the holidays and breaks. You will have a fixed schedule, which you will get in advance, and you will be working shifts.

You will get to work in a high pace environment and get the opportunity to learn a lot together with caring and competent colleagues. Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Take care of our customers requests (incoming by telephone, e-mail, web interface and/or fax)
  • Perform in-depth level of analysis and troubleshooting in order to resolve as many cases as possible at first line without escalation to second level support
  • Keep track of SLA thresholds and commitments and chase information and progress status with other internal units and external providers
  • Write reason for outage reports to customers upon request
  • Contribute to the process and routine development and improvements and share knowledge
Vi söker dig som
  • A person studying- or with a degree within Telecommunications, Network Engineering or equal
  • A person fluent in Spanish and English or Japanese and English, both spoken and written and on a highly technical level
  • Have solid knowledge of IP technologies, as well as other telecommunication technology layers such as transmission, voice, roaming, Ethernet
The following skills are meriting:
  • Cisco/Juniper certification
  • Other related university studies
  • ITIL knowledge
  • An additional language (apart from Spanish, Japanese and English) on a fluent level
As a person, you are service- and business- minded. You are a problem solver to the core but are not afraid to ask for help when needed. You enjoy trouble shooting as much as interacting with customers. Handling stressful situations is no problem for you as well as being a team player comes very natural. Working in a multi-cultural environment is something you enjoy and is seen as an advantage. You are a fast learner and can easily take in new information and technologies.
