About Scania and I-Talent:

I-Talent Programme is an initiative started 2015 at Scania IT aiming to employ newly graduates who has their interest and heart within IT. IT at Scania have great experience making their talents grow. Most of the previous I-Talents still work within Scania. They are IT Professionals working as developers in self-supporting teams, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Group Managers and much more.

During six months you will get all the training and support you need to quickly become a skilled IT Professional and we give you the opportunity to get an extensive network within Scania.

During the program you will be working at Scania in your specific role. Together with your fellow IT talents, you will every other week learn more about the company through different activities, receive technical training or learn more about yourself in communication and collaboration training. All of this is done together with dedicated teachers. To your support, you will have a
"buddy" from Scania as well as being a part of a mentor program.

New possibilities enable us to share data with each other, apply machine learning and artificial intelligence.

The work environment at Scania's IT department is international and our employees are representing many different nationalities and countries. To this exciting and dynamic environment we are now looking for new IT-professionals.

About the role:

We are looking for a developer within Manufacturing
Execution System (MES). You will be part of the maintenance team for Scania's MES concept "EBBA". MES at Scania is the system that executes processes and orders in production and also the tool to secure product quality and maintenance of equipment. Currently, they are 24 people in their team.

Your main tasks will be data base development in SQL-server, T-SQL and Process builder– a development tool which enables systems development in different languages and to use components from the framework of the MES product. As a developer you will be involved in requirement handling, understanding technical design specifications, development, testing and release handling. Furthermore Javascript/Ajax, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Json and C# are used within the Apriso platform.

The position is dynamic both in terms of the technical assignments and also in terms of working in multi-cultural and international environment. The aim is to work in a scrum-process in which you primarily work with in-house resources. Some collaboration is of course needed with other IT-sections and the Production & Logistics organisation.

A normal work day might include a daily team meeting to set the agenda for the day and then begin the development tasks. Since we believe in the T-shaped competence profile other tasks than coding are going to be done by the developer.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for IT graduates who have the potential and desire to become T-shaped IT Professionals at Scania. This means having the ability and the drive to acquire knowledge both in an overall perspective and in certain areas in depth.

More specifically, weare looking for you who:
  • Has a Bachelor or a Masters degree within the IT area
  • Are really passionate about system development
  • Has knowledge/experience with data base and web development
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English

Furthermore, you should have a positive attitude and be able to cooperate with the team. Your ability to take responsibility and be organised is very important.
