Scania's Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services to all of Scania units worldwide. The Commodity team purchasing Electronics will now expand within the technology areas Autonomous and Connectivity and we are looking for a future leader to join our team in the role as team lead/coordinator.
Electronics is an strong growth area with a strategic importance to the company. Many of the future Scania strategies demands a very high level of advanced electronics and we can now offer you a chance to participate in the exciting journey of developing Scania's electronics purchasing towards Scania's overall vision to become a Solution Provider.
As a Team lead you will lead a team of currently four purchasers within the Commodity of Electronics. You will work closely together with the purchasers to support in executing the sourcing strategy work and alignments within Truck & Bus (MAN/Navistar/VWN). This includes ensuring that the procurement of new products are within the given targets, that the current product portfolio is challenged and that that the supply base is continuously evaluated and adapted to our demands.
You will be working closely with the Commodity manager of Electronics as well as the Project Group Manager to align overall key strategies within the defined area and making sure that the strategies are followed.
You are probably proactive, structured, organized, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open cases and have a strong commercial interest and love to business and negotiate. You have a humble approach on leadership and can working with very skilled colleagues.
Experience in business to business such as purchasing or similar, management or project management, would be an advantage in your application. Technical knowledge about electronics components is of course merit but not a requirement.
Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is important that you have the ability to collaborate and build trust and are clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity with a good judgment and can adapt to work according to Scania leadership principles. You probably understand Swedish and speak and write fluent in English. German is a merit but not a demand.
