Who we are

The team members of Commodity Purchasing Autonomous & Connected Systems are working in a dynamic environment where the development of electronic components and systems for Scania-products are running fast with increased requirements on both - products and suppliers.

We are a fairly new team with lots of experience within purchasing and electronics who enjoys working closely together. We enjoy solving problems both within the team and with our cross-functions and always strive to find the best solutions for Scania. Responsibilities

As a Sourcing Manager in Commodity you are accountable for the strategies and targets within one of Scania purchasing’s most dynamic segments with high turnover, complex parts & technologies and great commercial cost improvement opportunities. This is a great opportunity for the right person to further develop their skills.

You will have a lead role in the purchasing 3-ring for the segment of switches & remote controls with a team of quality managers and project purchasers where you will support and align activities to ensure that the strategies are implemented.

In your daily work you will also negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, coordinate and align activities closely with purchasing colleagues in the TRATON and Volkswagen group, perform strategic nominations of new business together with your project purchasing colleagues as well as working to align and improve processes within the area of Connected & Autonomous systems.

Furthermore, during 50% of your time, you will have the opportunity to learn from and work with a Senior Sourcing Manager, responsible for ADAS components (Camera and Radar systems) and sensors for powertrain and transmission. You will support the Purchaser in operational tasks such as handling deviations in series business for these extremely complex segments.

Your profile

You are a person who likes to take the lead in working with others and is interested in developing your skills further. You are analytical, structured, take own initiatives and are able to handle multiple cases. You have a strong commercial but also technical interest and love to work with supplier relationship management and succeed in negotiations.

You have at least 2 year of purchasing experience and an academic degree in industrial engineering, economics or comparable. You are social and enjoy working in a team towards a common goal.

You like to work with cross functions and be a representative of Purchasing towards internal functions and suppliers. You are self-driven and ambitious and make your department reach set business goals.

As the role involves communication with global suppliers, you are fluent in writing and speaking English. Other language skills are an advantage.
