If you are interested in engineering and technology, our programme is a unique way of kick-starting your career. It is designed to give you wide-ranging experience and an extensive network of contacts that will help you to succeed in your career with us. Skills development is a natural part of the corporate culture at Scania and we also offer plenty of opportunities for personal development. The programme has two different specialisations: Engineering and Tech. You can choose the specialisation you are most interested in:
About the programme
- Engineering - Scania's production system (SPS) forms the basis for everything we do and represents Scania's values, principles and priorities. SPS helps us to improve our quality, ergonomics and productivity and results in a more sustainable production process. After the programme, you will start working in one of our engineering or logistics functions.
- Tech - Innovation is what characterize our research and development. We are software & data driven and make sustainable solutions happen with a minimal climate impact in areas such as electrification, connectivity and autonomous vehicles. After the program, you will start working in one of our systems or software development functions within technologies such as IoT, AI and embedded systems.
The programme lasts for ten months and during that time you will do at least three rotations in different areas. To give you the best possible start, the programme begins with a joint introduction phase. You will have plenty of opportunities to influence your own individual development. Together with your manager and mentor, you will choose the rotations that will give you the experience and knowledge to help you to achieve your personal goals. At the same time, you will gain a good overview of the business and an insight into how Driving the Shift involves different parts of the company. You will attend several training courses and take part in workshops that will benefit your future career. Our managers will treat you as an individual and give you feedback that will challenge you and help you to grow. You will also have the opportunity to meet members of the management team and attend their presentations about the technologies of the future and our strategy for achieving our demanding sustainability targets.
