The Engine System Software Group (NCSX) is responsible for the complete engine management systems. This includes system ownership, configuration management, iteration lead and release management.
Our group consists of experienced and outgoing people, with different cultural and educational backgrounds, as we see strength in diversity.
Currently, we are faced with exciting challenges to deliver our control system to more companies in the Traton Group. This means, among other things, putting together common processes and tools as well as coordinating deliveries in Sweden, Germany and the United States.
Your roleAs a Release Manager, you will act as a part-project leader across several parallel engine projects, focusing on coordinating engine software calibration.
The role gives you a very good foundation for continuing your career as a developer or leader through an unusually wide network of contacts throughout the engine development organization in the form of developers, calibrators, managers, test leaders, production coordinators, aftermarket, and more. You also get a good insight into both hardware and software in the various engine projects and overall knowledge of several parts of the product.
Your work assignmentsIn close cooperation with the other Release Managers on the group, you will be responsible to handle the release of new software for production and aftermarket. This includes the following responsibilities:
- Coordinate and follow up on the calibration deliveries
- Handle deviations in the deliveries together with the project management and development groups
- Construct the software files and deliver them to production and aftermarket
- Handle extra releases for field quality issues
- Sustain the calibration library and database
- Further develop and quality assure processes for calibration
Your profileWe think you have Master of Science in embedded systems/business management or similar. Next to being a team player, you have very good communication skills and you work structured and organized. In addition to that, you have a high learning capacity combined with good leadership skills.
You are fluent in writing and speaking English
Experience in project management or coordination is an advantage.
