At Connected Systems (EC) we work with solutions from the vehicle mounted telematics unit, via Telecom networks to the Scania service platform in the cloud. Connectivity in general is all about Data. Data in large volumes in a flexible and usable way is a key success factor for organisations that want to survive the digital shift. Scania today have over 600000 (and counting) vehicles and other connected products. Connected Systems is now looking for a manager for a new group focusing on Operations.What you will do
Start building this new group with the main task to evolve and enhance the operations and security monitoring capabilities of the Connected Systems platform. You will also take part in monitoring the data flows in our platform and in case of incidents re-establish normal operations as soon as possible with the help of the involved DevOps teams. The Team is responsible for analysis of situations as well as communication to all involved parties (development teams, sales and marketing, Global Technical Support etc.). Also Lessons Learned activities and Root Cause Analysis is part of the Team’s duties.
The Operation assignment will also include setting up and running Scania’s VSOC (Vehicle Security Operations Centre) to meet a growing number of Cyber Security threats and fulfilling the requirements from customers and new legislations.Areas of responsibilities are:
Who you are
- Improvements of monitoring and troubleshooting tools. The Team will be owner of the monitoring strategy at EC and be responsible for requirements on tools for alarms and service and security performance monitors and metrics.
- Process and routine improvements. Constantly look for improvements in processes and routines in order to clarify situation and improve customer satisfaction
- Measurements and reporting of service up-time, both downstream towards Scania’s customer but also upstream towards Mobile Network Operators and Cloud Providers.
For this role you need to be a customer oriented, analytic and structured person. You and your Team excel in communication, both written and spoken and fluent in English and preferably Swedish. It is important in this role to have a holistic understanding of value chain and how end customers are affected.
You need at least two years of experience as first line manager and leading Teams, and you most likely have a formal degree in engineering physics, electrical engineering or computer science, or the equivalent experience. In addition, you are expected to have experience from working with software development. Knowledge of the areas of Cloud Computing/IoT/Connectivity /Telecom and the electrical system of heavy vehicles is a great advantage for this role.What we can offer you
