Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Who we areThe group Bus Body Systems (RBEB) consists of 10 people working in two teams. One team does all specifications, implementation and testing of software and functions in the bus body system. The other team supports software to all prototype buses for R&D.
Our software controls functions for passengers and driver during a bus ride, such as climate, lights, stop buttons, toilet etc. We have a close contact to the end customers through market and satisfy the customer needs with adaptation and/or new functionalities in the bus body system. We are working agile in sprints and release our software 4 times a year When working with customer orders we go from customer demands to a released software in three months.
We are now reinforcing the team that creates the software for the bus bodies with a new function owner. As a function owner you have a certain amount of functions to specify, implement and test. We are doing the function tests in SIL, HIL and vehicle. You will also have the opportunity to validate our software in vehicle before we release each software to production. The software is coded in Matlab, Simulink (Stateflow), Python and C.
