Scania genomgår nu en transformation från att vara en leverantör av lastbilar, bussar och motorer till en leverantör av kompletta och hållbara transportlösningar.
Will machines change the transport industry? Currently, the actual driving of vehicles is increasingly being taken over by computers. Very soon, you will see fully autonomous vehicles on the streets. Scania is aiming high to solve the future transport demands in a safe and sustainable way. Scania is developing the autonomous vehicles as well as the digital infrastructure to automate transports, this is the Scania Autonomous Transport Solution.
Would you be interested in joining the Stockholm-based development team responsible for the control center?
You will be working in a team exploring and developing the future demands for a control center. The control center consists of a web-based HMI (Human-Machine Interface) where operators interact and monitor a fleet of autonomous vehicles. Some specific tasks handled in the HMI are vehicle fault handling, strategic planning, mission monitoring and much more. You will work closely with both the User Experience (UX) team and the various backend teams.
Your day at work
You will have the opportunity to work in an innovative team characterized by autonomy and openness. We value your well-being and offer a creative and supportive work environment, along with flexible working hours and the possibility to work both in our office in Stockholm City and our new office in Södertälje.
You have a Master’s or Bachelor's degree within the area of computer science, or relevant experience from other fields. You are a fan of agile development and you like the idea of self-organizing teams. Being part of an international work environment is something you appreciate. You have been programming for some years, preferably in the stack of web development.
In addition to career and development opportunities, we offer Scania employees other benefits, such as a company car, bonuses, flexible working hours and much more. If you live in Stockholm, Scania offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Job express.
