Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Thesis project at Scania is an excellent way of making contacts for your future working life. Many of our current employees started their career with a thesis project.
Engine management systems involve complex software architectures with highly configurable modules. Modules dependencies are created through signal that are used to communicate. These signals have a number of properties, including a status indicating the quality of the signal. A degraded signal has impact on the quality of downstream signals. Therefore, understanding the signal dependencies is critical to understanding the overall software behavior.
Map signal status propagation between modules and degradation actions into an inhibit matrix.
What should be investigated in the thesis project
Use known signal dependencies and create a labelled property graph of signal flow. Add signal status propagation information to the signal flow. Generate an adjacency matrix for with module degradations and signal status.
