Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Serves as advisor to General Manager, Cambrex Karlskoga (CK) and services as member of the site senior leadership on all matters regarding HR policies, procedures, and practice.
  • Serves as member of HR leadership team and participate in global projects and initiatives.
  • Plans, organizes, and leads all activities of the CK HR department including recruiting, selection, orientation, coaching, and counseling staff.
  • Evaluates results of department in relation to established goals; recommends new approaches to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to estimate, forecast and anticipate staffing requirements on a short-term and long-term basis and partner with finance on labor plans.
Employee Development
  • Manages and monitor compliance of employee training.
  • Designs and implementation of leadership development program and development opportunities at local level.
  • Develops organizational and people strategies by identifying and researching human resources challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensures well-developed and current succession plans are in place, with a focus on site future and vision.
Policy and Procedure
  • Ensures compliance with current labor law and central bargaining agreement. Establishes and maintains good relations with local trade unions. Includes negotiations.
  • Ownership and maintenance of HR related systems including learning management systems and HRIS.
  • Accommodates and manages data requests at business unit and corporate level; accountable for data collection, integrity of data and reporting in accordance with established tools and systems.
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies.
  • Acts as the point of contact for security questions related to the Björkborn industrial area.
Engagement and Communication
  • Contributes to communication strategies and infrastructure development.
  • Ensures that all company news, updates and strategies are communicated effectively at sites, optimizing all forms of communication and at all levels.
  • Serves as a liaison between facility and the community.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Academic degree from People Management or equivalent education
  • At least 10 years proven experience from the HR area with 5+ years manager role within HR
  • Great interpersonal and communicative skills
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
  • Excellent ability to think proactively, anticipate business needs and draft possible solutions
  • Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in a pressured environment while still maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (reading and writing)
