The role
The Product Manager role is new at Kari Traa. You will be responsible for effectively managing the product assortment, the seasonal lineplan and monitoring sell-through and inventory to drive sales and maximize profitability. You will have the overall responsibility for bringing to life the collection strategy, leading the timeline and working with the Brand General Manager, to build the strategy, then taking lead on planning and pricing, making sure the balance between brand building, market demands, and business is optimized. The role is the centre-point of collection knowledge and your ability to collaborate and team up with General Manager, Head of Design and Purchase Manager as well as with the Sales team is essential for the brand's further success. You will report to the Buying Director, with a dotted reporting line to the General Manager.

The Product Manager is the link between Design, Purchase and Sales which requires that you have great understanding of those functions. As it is a new role at Kari Traa it is very important that you bring experience and expertise from the sports apparel- or fashion industry to set the standard for the role. Most likely you have a very similar role today, with proven skills in building and implementing strategies based on your market and trend analysis and turning into actions. You are commercially driven and can easily identify business opportunities which align with the brand's goals and ambitions. We assume that you have international experience, either from working abroad or from home towards international markets, preferably North America.

Key tasks
- Conduct market analysis to identify market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences based on sales data, market research, and customer feedback.
- Analyze sales performance, margins, inventory, and profitability.
- Own the pricing process and suggest pricing strategy and market position to maximize profitability.
- Suggest replenishment strategies to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts and excess.
- Together with Head of Design and Purchase Manager:
- Have regular meetings and discussions to align design concepts, product assortment, targets and budget, pricing, and production planning.
- Coordinate on issues related to design feasibility, demand fluctuations, supply chain constraints, and customer feedback.
- Actively collaborate and share insights on market conditions, sales performance, customer feedback and production needs, to ensure cohesive decision-making and strategic alignment.

- Agrees with and understands the Kari Traa DNA and core values.
- Solid understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and fashion trends.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, market research, and financial metrics for decision-making.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, profit margins, and inventory management principles.
- Ability to forecast demand, conduct trend analysis, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Detail-oriented mindset to monitor inventory levels, analyze product performance, and optimize assortment planning.
- Share our passion for an active lifestyle.
- Willing to relocate to Oslo, Norway.
- Willing to travel approx. 20-30 days/year.
