Job duties

In this role as a software engineer you will be responsible for the software part of one of the company’s volume products. The work includes two primary areas; development of new functions and to a smaller extent product maintenance. This includes fixing bugs, developing new versions, test software and functionality. The work will be carried out in very close collaboration with different disciplines within the R&D department, both in Malmö and globally, such as: software, mechanical design, electronics, production test, cloud solutions, etc.

About you
  • Engineering bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum five years’ work experience and very good programming skills (C and embedded systems)
  • Experience and interest in low-level programming and microcontrollers would be great
  • Previous experience developing applications (PC/Windows/Linux environment) is meritorious
  • An interest covering the whole product life cycle meaning everything from product definition, implementing features, finished product to after market developments
  • Good spoken and written communications skills in English
  • You find it stimulating to work with people from different professional fields and with people from different nationalities
For this role we are looking for excellent communication skills and a good ability to interact and network with people in different environments and contexts. You are expected to collaborate closely with R&D departments both in Malmö and globally, and you must communicate unhindered in English. As you will have a big responsibility for the software of the specific product, you need to be comfortable working independently in an expert function. You understand and appreciate the challenges of working in a fast-moving environment. To succeed in this role, you must be humble and view feedback as a key to improving results, both for you personally as well as on a company level.
