Regional Sales Manager – Nordics – Retail Lighting Solutions

As Regional Sales Manager you are the contact for our clients in Sweden and other Nordic countries and you know how to convince them of the unique concepts within lightning segment through retail and agents. You provide expert advice to existing and new clients and ensure the growth of our turnover in the Nordics. Your commercial drive ensures that the sales targets are achieved. As the first full time resource in our Nordic expansion you are responsible for both existing and new clients.

The role

  • You are responsible for the realization of the budget and for initiating and generating new opportunities. This requires an independent and proactive approach.

  • You prepare the Sales plans and make sure sales results and profits are being realized.

  • You negotiate with central / decentralized category-/product management/purchasing departments on yearly contracts.

  • You actively scan the markets for new sales opportunities, such as new business developments into other local or regional market segments.

  • You support the affiliates of (international) large accounts such as major DIY-chain stores on a local level for e.g. merchandising and other support businesses.

  • You follow and analyse the developments in the market, of competitors and customers and reports to the Group Management.

  • You manage and further develop the relationship with your customer portfolio through hands on operational sales processes.

  • You continuously analyse sales performance and factors influencing sales.

  • You understand complex business structures and processes and you know how to manage the interests of various stakeholders.

  • You will have the daily support from the knowledgeable colleagues residing in The Netherlands.

Your background
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience, in a role as Sales- or Account Manager.

  • Well introduced in Scandinavian retailing preferably in the DIY- and Home & Garden business area.

  • Preferably a higher education and/ or experience from positions where analytical skills are developed.

  • Preferably experience from establishing and supporting a reseller network.

  • Native speaker of the Swedish language and excellent knowledge of the English language. Proficiency in other Nordic languages is an advantage.

  • Experience from and willingness to travel. Estimation of travelling will be about 50% of the time. Frequent travelling to the Netherlands (about once a quarter). Attending local- and international business fairs.

  • You will be supported by our customer services team in The Netherlands and will report to the International Sales Manager.
