Sensory and Flavour Executive to BAT
About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Sensory and Flavour Executive to BAT in Malmö who will play a crucial role in the execution of our sensory panels. In this position, you will primarily assist in the implementation of our sensory panels, which include preparing and organizing samples, and manage related administrative tasks.
You will be responsible for managing the product inventory, which includes monitoring incoming shipments, retrieving samples from the warehouse, and confirming the arrivals of the samples. Additionally, you will document the samples by photographing and labeling them in a structured manner for efficient storage. Disposing of old samples and sorting plastic containers and bags will also be part of your duties.
You will also schedule testing dates and communicate with panellists to ensure timely delivery of results, as well as monitor their attendance during the panels. You will participate in evaluation sessions and ensure that results are delivered on time.
Additionally, you will assist the Sensory Scientist with questionnaire programming, recruitment, and screening of new panellists, as well as training and monitoring their performance. You will also collaborate with the flavor team in preparing flavors and test samples, ensuring that the sensory and flavor lab is kept clean and well-organized.
Part of your role will also involve sourcing commercial products and maintaining the inventory for sensory flavor samples. You will coordinate international product shipments to support markets in Northern Europe and manage purchases of products from both retail and e-commerce.
The position as Sensory and Flavour Executive is a part-time consultancy assignment on 50 %, starting as soon as possible. It´s a six-month consultancy assignment through Adecco, with the possibility of extension. Working hours are Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with the flexibility to schedule the remaining 4 hours at your convenience.
Background checks, as well as drug and alcohol tests, will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.

About you
We are seeking a candidate with experience in administrative work and the ability to analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate data. You should be comfortable working in laboratory and production environments, as well as in settings with aromas from flavoring agents and nicotine products. Proficiency in both Swedish and English is required, and it is advantageous if you have a driver’s license and access to a car.
Experience working in a sensory or as an assistant in a flavour lab is meritorious. Knowledge or willingness to learn smokeless processing technology, research and development processes, manufacturing or quality is beneficial, as well as experience with Microsoft suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. It´s a plus if you have a degree in food science or a bachelor´s degree in a science field.
As a person, you are meticulous and detail-oriented, thriving in administrative tasks. You have the ability to work systematically in a supportive role and can easily adapt to various situations. Furthermore, you are flexible and maintain high efficiency, even in fast-paced environments.
