Business Technology is all the technology that enables Oatly to run its business and operational processes. Business Technology exists to lead, enable and support the digital transformation of Oatly to create innovation and value for customers, consumers and employees. The Business Technology team is responsible for a bunch of things. Things like Oatly's IT infrastructure and operations, digital product development, the Oatly data office, cybersecurity and the tech architecture.

Job description

In the position as IT Business Controller within the Business Technology department you will act as their finance business partner tacking active part in business development. This means that you will support the global Business Technology teams with finance knowledge regarding Opex/Capex in order to achieve a good cost control and tracking the performance and efficiency increase. The role requires seniority, experience and business- as well as IT-understanding and ability to challenge the teams towards cost and business optimization. You will collaborate on daily basis with the CIO and other team members with the purpose of delivering strategy and objectives. You will also have close collaboration with other business controls peers within the organization in order to improving finance tools, processes and BI-reports.

Your main tasks:
Budget, forecast, variance analyses and tracking of capex and opex
Drive improvements and providing business cases and recommendations, follow up saving initiatives
Develop and maintain charge-back models for IT-spend
Support and participate in decision forums, capex meetings and supplier negotiations
Support CIO and CFO regarding progress, opportunities and risks based on current budget and forecasts etc.
Beside this, you will work with various other tasks, such as supporting project management, challenging stakeholders, reporting and have the overall control of the spend.


For this position we assume that you have a university degree within finance, accounting, engineering/technology or similar. You have a working experience for at least 7 years, of which at least 3 years experiences from business controlling, preferable experience of working with IT-investments or projects.
You have a good knowledge of IT-systems and experience of one of the major ERP-systems. You are an advanced user in Excel and you are used to do good presentation in Power Point. Experience from an international environment will be an advantage.
As we act in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.


You are a true team-player, who likes to collaborate with and support others and who has a business mindset and can manage multiple stakeholders. You like to work in a supporting role and find it encouraging to help others being successful, but also challenge others in possible solutions and in tactical and strategic decisions. As the future IT Business Controller, you are hands on and as well as strategic and self-propelled and lead others by providing thorough analysis, having confidence to challenge other with sound financial judgments and recommendations. You are a great communicator, whose skills in discussing and managing both strategic and operational issues are excellent!
