For this role you will be responsible for procurement activities in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
The Head of SCM Scandinavia is expected to deliver improvement in total cost of ownership, quality and service by working closely with the regional procurement organizations and respective suppliers.
Key to this position will be to understand all cost drivers of the entire supply chain and to translate that knowledge into reduced total Supply Chain cost. The Head of SCM Scandinavia is situated in the procurement organization of Gate Gourmet at the office in Copenhagen, with direct reference to the Director SCM Region Central Europe.Main responsibilities
- The Head of SCM Scandinavia will formulate, implement and drive a consistent approach towards all procurement activities within the Scandinavian procurement team, ultimately ensuring that procurement policy, best practice & governance in all areas including procurement procedures, processes and benefits tracking are defined, implemented and adhered to.
- You will act as manager of the local procurement employees in business units Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway) and manage resources in coordination with Director SCM region Central Europe and local management team.
- Support the commercial development initiatives/projects in Scandinavia with improved product and supply chain solutions.Manage, drive and control the cost reductions program in Scandinavia
- Coach, motivate and energize an effective and efficient supply chain team.
You have a great interest in the food business and get inspired by this fast moving industry. Besides strong leadership skills you have at least 5 years relevant working experience in an operational environment and experience in category management and procurement in both international food and non-food markets. As a person, you are driven teamplayer and work in a structured, result-oriented and persistent way to achieve your challenges ahead. You have a positive basic attitude and are a skilled communicator. You speak fluent Danish/Swedish and are also comfortable with English in both speech and writing.
