Indirect Buyer

Indirect Buyer

Mission & Responsibilities
Are you an Indirect buyer with experience from working across categories? Will you thrive in an independent role with colleagues all over Europe?

We are looking for an Indirect Buyer to join our European Procurement team. This is a Nordic role and you will be based at our Nordic head office in Malmö. Your main responsibilities will be to work closely with the Category Managers in order to roll-out indirect buying strategies, execute the sourcing process for local categories and ensure satisfied internal customers. Identifying saving ideas and follow-up on achievements will also be important.

In this role you get to work as a true procurement generalist because you will be involved in a wide range of indirect purchases. This includes for example; legal & audit services, personal protection gear, office material, long term car rental, employee benefits etc.. In doing this you will collaborate with important stakeholders in each country, for example the HR, Safety and Finance departments. You will be a procurement ambassador who ensures the procurement process is followed properly and that the internal stakeholders understands the advantages of this.

You will work independently with implementing the Category strategy. Meaning you will analyse the needs of the internal customer, source, create a potential supplier long list, quality check, analyze offers using TCO approach and create a short list. Finally you will select suppliers and negotiate contracts. You will also follow-up on the suppliers' performance, and ensure that they are continuously adhering to our safety, quality and sustainability requirements. In addition you are responsible for supplier management (initiate their qualification) in our system but also building a strong relationship with each supplier.

Competence and profile
This is a position that requires a lot of autonomous work and impactful decision making. For that reason, we are looking for a procurement professional with 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Nordic category role within a centralised procurement organisation. We believe you have a degree in Purchasing, business or similar and you have a commercial mindset with strong skills in managing contracts, costs and completing TCO analysis and negotiations. In your previous roles you have also gained experience in strategic planning and sourcing as well as risk Management. Safety is important to you!

To be successful in this role you are a generalist by nature. In other words; you might have worked with specific categories, but what you are best at (and really enjoy!) is working across many varying categories. You are really good at developing and maintaining both internal and external stakeholder relationships on all levels. You are a true 'communication champion' that makes yourself understood in all situations and can communicate complex messages in a clear, efficient and persuasive manner.

It's an advantage if you have previously worked in an international team with a Manager based in a different country, hence you are comfortable working in virtual teams. This means, you know what is needed to make such teams work and that you take responsibility for fostering knowledge sharing and feedback culture.

As a person you are influential, results oriented and organised and have the ability to stay focused and prioritise well also in stressful situations. You speak and write a Nordic language fluently and have a good work proficiency in English. You also have experience with SAP, Google suite and Excel.
