Supply Chain Manager

Supply Chain Manager

After four years of intense design and development work, Candela kicked off serial production of the world's first electrical hydrofoiling boat at the end of 2018. We have now delivered the first batch of boats to customers and are scaling up production. For that effort we want to recruit a number of passionate and talented team members, including a Supply Chain Manager responsible for strategic souring of all parts for the boats.

We are currently 25 people based in our Gåshaga facility on Lidingö, growing fast. As a team we are very diverse, covering 11 nationalities and specialties ranging from electronics design to composite lamination. We love and are 100% focused on what we do, but are at the same time conscious about finding an acceptable balance with our lives outside Candela. And being good to each other is key - work is hard but should be fun. Candela is a great place to work. And an insanely cool product.

Candela Seven is made up of a few thousand parts, ranging from simple inox screws to complex composite parts and custom PCBA:s. Having these parts at the right time, quality and cost is instrumental for us to keep production running smooth and efficient.

As Candela's Supply Chain Manager you have an overall responsibility of Candela's supply chain - making sure we have all part when we need them. This includes the whole chain, from sourcing, negotiating and contracting to maintaining strong, long-term relationships with Candela's suppliers. You will also be responsible for inventory and warehouse, with the support from operational purchasing. During the year we will be implementing improved software support to manage our supply chain.

As a key member in small team building a complex product, most important is an analytical mind and a lot of drive and energy. Given the nature of our product and the components it's made up, a technical background is also a benefit. A strong academic background is desirable, as well as an aptitude for data analysis. Previous experience of professional purchasing is good but not a requirement, as well as of commercial negotiations and contracting. At the end of the day, who you are is more important than exactly what you have done in the past.

This role is based at our Gåsaga facility, and will include a fair amount of travel to our suppliers spread across Europe and the world.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
