Work description
We are looking to strengthen our procurement team; supporting our tenders and projects, with a Category Manager in the area of Land based Installation Services.
As a Category Manager you will play a key-role in establishing subcontracting strategies that are in line with our overall company strategy and are executable in our projects. You will support the installation leads with expert knowledge in the individual subcategories.

You will be building up a sustainable contractor pipeline; identifying new suppliers, equipment, trends and end customer demands which should result in a list of qualified suppliers that we are ready to work with.

Developing long-term relations with our key suppliers - leading to innovative contract models, following and creating new market trends, lessons learned and continuous improvement are additional responsibilities in this role. In case things go wrong in our execution you are the one knowing the subcontractor from an NKT perspective taking all our dealings into account; tenders, ongoing projects, future opportunities to find the most beneficial outcome for NKT as a whole.

Who are you?
You probably hold a master´s degree in business, engineering, economics or similar. If not - you have relevant working experience.
To take on this role successfully you have worked some years in procurement with category management or have experience from Land based Installation Services. If you have a background from construction, civil or building works it is strongly meriting.
Fluent Swedish and English, written and spoken is a requirement. German is meriting as you will be part of an international team.

In order to succeed in the role you need to be curios, structured, open-minded, and have the ability to build strong networks and collaborate with all kinds of people and divisions. With our market being global, international travel will be part of your daily job. Today our subcontractor footprint is mostly Europe, but as our sales market gets wider so does our supplier base need.

You will join an international team that is taking full advantage of the integration of NKT Karlskrona into the NKT family. Building on the concept of Group Procurement, we are a team with colleagues in both Sweden and Germany.
