About AAK Karlshamn
Site Karlshamn is the largest and most complex site in AAK. It was founded in 1918 and is located at the Baltic Sea coast surrounded by a beautiful archipelago and grand oak- and beech-tree forests perfect for recreational activities. The site has approximately 470 employees working in sales, customer innovation, quality assurance, production etc. and supplies into many industries including chocolate and confectionery, bakery, dairy, plant-based foods, personal care, animal nutrition, infant nutrition, candles, rubber and more.

About the position
We are looking for a Customer Innovation Manager to our Technical Products team.
The main objective for the role is to develop new solutions based on our oils & fats technology for the candle industry and to provide technical support to all customers within our technical segment. In the development cycle our Customer Innovation Managers collaborate closely with our customers uncovering their needs and finding the best solutions for them and AAK, applying AAK's co-development concept.
The job requires travel, mainly to visit customers, but also to attend trade shows and other industry events. It includes development work in our WaxWorks™ candle lab at our site in Karlshamn and being a key contributor in our Technical Products go-to-market team.

You will also be required to work closely with our production team to ensure that new products can be produced in an efficient way. Knowing the capabilities and constraints of our production sites is key to a successful execution of the development projects.

About you
You have a technical university degree within chemistry, chemical engineering, food technology or other relevant subject and you have at least 3 years work experience in product development, technical customer service or other relevant field.
Previous knowledge in oils & fats technology and in particular fat crystallization it is of great benefit, but not a pre-requisite as AAK offers training in oils & fats specific subjects.
In your work you enjoy a great variety and appreciate close interaction with many stakeholders. As a person you are systematic, thorough and a fast learner. You enjoy working independently but also see the great benefits from team collaboration. It is important for you to build long-term relations and understand the real customer need.
You are an excellent communicator in speech and writing and enjoy intercultural interaction.
Fluency in English is a prerequisite.
