Job description:

As EHS manager at JELD-WEN / Swedoor Sweden you will have the responsibility to lead and develop our strategic work with primarily environment, health and safety.
You proactively through presence at our 2 production sites in Åstorp & Forserum, deliver, documentate and communicate a structured approach, striving to continuously improve our processes and procedures for EHS.
You will be supporting all mangers and conduct internal trainings when needed. You are main responsible for conducting and monitoring audits (both internal and external) and is site contact person on all questions regarding EHS audits. You are part of both our sites management teams and report to our 2 factory / site manager
Key areas of responsibilities


•Member of Country Leadership Team
•Scrap, rework, warranty
•Roadmap fulfilment (site + EHS Sweden)
•BOM accuracy, routing accuracy
•Safety measures (‘S-board’)
•Environmental measures (waste, energy etc)
•Member of Project Council (site)
•Master data for analysing EHS initiatives
•Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
•Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity to minimize downtime in the event of a disruption.

Areas that you will be leading and involved in as EHS Sweden...


•Identify and lead improvement projects for EHS Sweden
•Develop and implement EHS roadmaps regionally
•Responsible to identify and drive EHS agenda
•EHS reporting incl. follow up
•Main contact person on environmental questions from authorities regionally
•Train organisation in all topics related to EHS
•Contact person on external audits regarding EHS
•Plan/conduct/follow up of internal audits incl certificates
•Site FSC contact person
•Support/coach and drive A3 improvement activities
•Together with the responsible managers you will be advising on our quality manual, for products produced in Sweden
•Participate on quality system incl. documents, aswell as supporting analysis on customer complaints
•Drive actions to reduce scrap and rework
•Master data responsible incl. updates and article numbers


Required profile:

It´s needed for you to have experience of structured EHS work from manufacturing industry. Preferably you hold an academic degree, that allows the right insights for analysing, executing and documentating the EHS area.
You need to be comfortable in an international organisation and you need to be fluent in English (write and speak). You will have international contacts on daily/weekly basis.
As a person you are driven, structured, systematic and have good communication skills. You have good technical knowledge and feel comfortable in a production environment. As conducting trainings is part of your daily work you need to have good pedagogical skills.

•Strong relationship-building skills to foster collaboration and partnerships.

Language Skills


•Swedish in fluent, aswell as fluent in both written and spoken English
