We are seeking a Controller in Helsingborg Sweden

Following rapid growth within our Swedish business, we have an exciting opportunity for a Helsingborg based Controller. You will join our Helsingborg based Finance team and report to our Business Controller. Our focus is to find the right person who can continue to grow, together with us, and develop the company. Our business is steeped in history, has fantastic tech and we are going through a period of huge growth. Which is demonstrated as a year ago we didn't need this position but now it is critical for our finance team!

This role would suit someone who loves a challenge and wants to come on a finance journey with us. We would like you to have solid experience as a Controller, where you have the knowledge to look at our processes and projects with fresh eyes and bring suggestions for improvement. Your role will be varied as we work in a project focused way, manufacturing machinery to meet our customers needs. If you also have some cost accounting expertise this would help you in your role.

A day in the life of our strategic Helsingborg based Controller will include ...

• You will work as our Controller in Helsingborg with a focus on our major value stream GyroCompact (this is part of our spiral freezer range)

• You will report to our Business Controller who loves to give trust and freedom to the team, is supportive and a team player, but has high expectations which has been demonstrated by excellent internal and external audit results!

• Your role will be responsible for Project reporting, and cost follow up for two Helsingborg manufacturing sites, so being able to juggle both will be key

• It will be critical for you to monitor value stream performance, and follow-up on "red" KPIs and drive improvement – to do this effectively we believe you will spend time on our shop floor talking to colleagues and challenging costs and decision that simply don't make sense from a performance perspective

• Something which is normally part of a Controllers role we have removed; you will not be tasked with working on Tax and VAT returns, but you will be involved in monthly closing activities including analysing project and cost performance.

• Working closely with your finance leader and the value stream GM you will own the forecast and budget process for GyroCompact and the two manufacturing sites, following up on monthly performance to actual

• We see your position as one of business partner and as mentioned you will work closely with our Value Stream GM constantly driving improvements and finding new ways to report and drive the business forward

• Participation in External and Internal auditing is required

What would we like to see on your resume ...

A strong background as a Controller with proven results in supporting and driving the businesses you have worked for forwards. We would like you to have a commercial mind-set and be analytical, having worked collaboratively driving process improvements. We are going through a period of growth and change, and this means our processes needs to change with us, we need someone who will not be put off by not having a readymade Excel spreadsheet for a task but be someone who will be creative and develop their own tools to create structured and strong execution in the role.

At interview we will assess your experience, communication and people skills and we'll spend time getting to know you, what you have to offer and what you seek from your next career move. If you have a relevant academic education with 2-3 years of similar work experience that would be great. Please note that strong Excel skills and fluent Swedish and English language skills both verbal and written are a must for the role.
