ValueOne is looking for a Strategic Buyer for a consultant assignment to our customer in the south of Stockholm. The assignment must be filled as soon as possible and lasts for six months. For the right candidate there is a strong possibility for a permanent position after completed assignment.

The role
As Strategic Buyer you are expected to be the main link between the company and its suppliers. You are to continuously ensure competitive prices and best possible total cost and be the knowledge-hub when it comes to the raw material and packaging markets. You also have a responsibility to proactively share knowledge and educate the Sales and Marketing organizations current market characteristics.

Main tasks:
  • Plan and conduct regular negotiations with the suppliers.
  • Independently identify areas of improvements.
  • Drive and deliver on agreed specific procurement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate procurement prices are included in the ERP-systems.
  • Ensure that signed purchase agreements are in line with the company´s standard agreement for all selected suppliers.
  • Continuously share and collect experiences and learnings.
  • Support Sales and Marketing organizations to forecast and calculate seasonal prices on core products.
  • Distribute the monthly procurement newsletter, with input from the other regions.
It´s is possible to work from remote two days a week.

Experience and competencies
The ideal person for this assignment has a university degree or similar education within procurement and a minimum of three years of working experience within strategic purchasing and category management. Fluency in English, oral and in writing, is required. Swedish is desirable. In addition, we like you to have experience from negotiations on an international level as well as good stakeholder management capabilities. Furthermore, you are a skilled negotiator, confident in managing tough discussions. You have a high sense of responsibility, excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial drive.
