Buyer to automotive company

About the role:
We are now looking for a new colleague to join our client's purchasing team in Gothenburg. Our client is a well established company in the automotive industry. This is a buyer role within Category Pipes & Plastic area - a developing and challenging area where you together with a Procurement team will contribute to create world class powertrain solutions.

In summary you will:

• Act as main contact for commercial issues towards the suppliers
• Lead price negotiations, during program phase as well as running production changes
• Administration work involves transactions, updating price files, reporting of performance
• Drive continuous improvement activities within purchasing and suppliers

Ideal candidate:

• Preferably at least 2 years of experience from purchasing/commercial work including commercial negotiations and handling of legal commercial documents
• Business or Technical University degree or HVE (Higher Vocational Education) in purchasing
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Strong business acumen combined with high integrity

In order to be a good fit for this position, you enjoy working in a structured manner and are motivated by problem solving. You enjoy a combination of dealing with simpler day-to-day tasks to more demanding challenges, such as negotiations with major suppliers. You need to be a self-starter that can find ways and solutions to solve problems that arise, as well as being a great communicator since you will be in constant dialogue with multiple touchpoints in the organization.

Our client is an automotive company based in Gothenburg.

Employment:
This is a consultant assignment meaning you will be employed by OIO. The ambition is for the assignment to be transferred to a permanent employment at the client company given that both parties are interested in continuing the collaboration.
