Data Engineering and BI Specialist to Polestar, Gothenburg

Do you want to help Polestar continue to innovate and improve by using their data for insights to expand their business? We can now offer an exciting job opportunity as a Data Engineering and BI specialist, where you will be part of the BI and Analytics journey at Polestar.

As part of this highly visible role, you will be gathering and diving into the data, summarizing findings, and developing charts and slides for the highest level of executive management to review. The data can reside in a multitude of systems both on-premise and in the cloud. This position is part of the team Polestar Enterprise Digital who design, architect, and develop platforms and applications to grow the business.

What you will do:
  • Working with Product teams define the data to be collected along the customer journey
  • Perform quality checks of collected data to ensure that it is fit for analytical purposes
  • Build data pipelines to fetch and store the data.
  • Identify proper data analysis methods and techniques and work closely with the business owners to ensure insights are adopted
  • Set up BI reports and dashboards
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and/or data extraction as required
  • Build APIs exposing the data to integration platforms
What experience you have:

For us, it is not important how many years of experience you have, what matters is what you have done, in what context and what results you have achieved. To be successful in this position you have experience with a variety of Data Engineering, mining and analytical methods. You have a proven ability to drive results using data-driven analyses and insights and also have the ability to translate analyses into dynamic charts and presentations to display their findings.

Hands-on working experience of visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau as well as a strong SQL background is probably something you identify yourself with. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Google Analytics is also areas that are highly valued for this position.

You most likely have a BA/BS degree in statistics, mathematics, or other quantitative fields, Master's degree is a plus. If you also understand ERP and data flows and have a curious attitude towards AI, that will give you the opportunity to influence and develop this role.
