MSC Sweden continues to grow market share in Sweden each year, and we are now looking for a professional Intermodal planner to join us in delivering operational excellence to our customers.

Job description
The Intermodal Planner is part of our Logistics team in the Operations Department where all MSC own assets and 3rd party services are managed. The department handles the full transportation cycle for volumes to, from and within Sweden, and thus it requires that our staff works closely together in the department and with our suppliers to ensure we deliver superior service to our customers.
The Intermodal Planner is coordinating and executing all inland transportation activities in the most cost-effective manner for MSC while maximizing service delivery towards our customers. Through close collaboration with commercial teams the service offering and the profitability of inland services is defined and promoted while the strategic partnership with suppliers and customers enable continued MSC growth.
As a key player in a dynamic industry the Intermodal Planner promotes successful communication, collaboration and proactive learning with both colleagues, vendors and customers.

Ideal candidate attributes
The ideal candidate holds a good understanding of logistics and can work in a complex environment. The candidate is comfortable under pressure, resourceful and holds effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in English and Swedish (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience from traffic planning or similar
  • The ability to identify innovative approaches to problem solving
  • The ability to initiate, drive and follow-up on daily responsibilities independently
  • Able to travel when needed (20%)
  • Able to work within multiple systems and data sources - consolidating, validating, analyzing and interpreting data for business needs.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office Packages
