About this role

As an Operational Purchaser you will play a vital role by giving administrative support to the Global Procurement Department. You will have both an operational and analytical focus and be responsible for administrative tasks concerning our purchasing processes, tools and resources. Emphasis will be on administration but we are looking for someone who sees this as an opportunity to evolve and develop professionally as a purchaser.

Key accountabilities
  • Take on operational tasks within the Global Procurement Department to support the Procurement management team with tasks related to supplier evaluations, compliance and development projects
  • Perform analytics, raw material development and do monthly reporting and statistics
  • Take ownership of assigned suppliers to drive cost competitiveness, innovation and quality improvements from the supplier base
  • Own and drive the development of tools used within the procurement team
  • Support the development and implementation of the procurement strategy
  • Academic Business and/or Technical degree in relevant field
  • Relevant Purchasing experience and/or education in Purchasing
  • Excellent administrative and analytical skills
  • Software user skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Experience working with MS Office
  • Previous experience working with Sharepoint is considered an advantage

You have strong organizational and follow-up skills as well as an attention to details. You have excellent communication skills and a great ability to work collaboratively. It is important that you are a results-oriented person who can shift focus between multiple tasks while delivering results.
