At Babcock & Wilcox Vølund, we are busy in our Aftermarket Service. We are looking to add another Service Account Manager, to our team, with focus on our Swedish customers.

The position
As a member of our service team, you will maintain, care for, and develop the co-operation with a number of our best customers as well as take an active share in building and developing new customer relations. Our customers are typically the plant managers. Our service business typically handles outages, modification, upgrade, and maintenance projects.

We are a strong team and we are looking for someone who is serious about the job but at the same time a breath of fresh air in the department. Your working day will consist of a variety of tasks within sales and project management. It is important that you are technically well-rounded and excel in the quality of your work. You are a strong communicator and appreciate knowledge sharing.

You will:
  • Perform relational sales and make technical and commercial agreements.
  • Perform or ensure technical guidance about plant operation and maintenance.
  • Display creativity in relation to customers, technology, and products.
  • Conduct condition assessment of plant components and prepare assessment reports.
  • Participate in project and customer meetings.
  • Take responsibility for compliance with contract, time schedule, quality, and financial requirements.
  • Coordinate and plan project phase tasks.
It is important that you master all project phases and are able to coordinate your work with the project team. It is an exciting and challenging job with flexible working hours; you will have plenty of opportunity to leave your own mark on it. Qualifications and skills
You have worked as a project manager, service manager, account manager or a salesperson. You hold an engineering degree from a university or school of marine engineering, and you have experience from energy plants or other types of environmental process plants.

It is an advantage if you have experience of SAP and project management tools like MS Project or Primavera. If you have knowledge of thermodynamics and understand the thermodynamic processes, it is also an advantage.

Fluency in English and Swedish is a requirement.

As to your personal qualities, it is important that you have a structured approach to all project phases and an eye for additional sales and improvement opportunities – always focusing on the customer. In addition, you have the overview of the projects, you thrive on customer relations, and you have winning manners and a can-do spirit. You ensure that we reach our goals - always respecting our agreements with the customers and their needs, and you are frank, forthcoming, and independent. Finally, your good communication skills enable you to convey time schedules and project challenges in an easily comprehensible way to colleagues at all levels.

You divide your time between travel to customers, site work and the office. The role requires travel activity from 50-70 days a year.

We have B&W offices in Gothenburg and in Sollentuna in Sweden or you can be based from your home office.
