Your Responsibilities
The photonics engineer will be responsible for leading the efforts in the realization of stand-alone laser modules for deployment in industrial environments.
Specific responsibilities include:

Your Responsibilities
The photonics engineer will be responsible for leading the efforts in the realization of stand-alone laser modules for deployment in industrial environments.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Design integrated photonic devices on silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits fit for purpose of our customers
- Realize performance tests on the electrical, optical and thermal response of the photonic devices
- Design control techniques for laser stabilization
- Develop prototypes and assist in the transition to production
- Lead the packaging efforts for thermal stabilization and fiber interfacing

Our Expectations
- 4-years of industrial experience or PhD in a topic related to photonics, applied physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
- Programming skills in Matlab/Python
- Basic knowledge of finite element method modeling (e.g. Lumerical, COMSOL)
- Laboratory experience with fiber interfacing
- Programming experience with FPGAs
- Extensive experience with test and measurement equipment for the characterization of optoelectronic components
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset
